Read the source, not a retelling
Many books on philosophy, esotericism and the history of ideas reach readers only through later editions and translations — shortened, smoothed over, sometimes censored. We go back to the original edition, digitise it page by page and translate it independently, so you can read what the author actually wrote.

All books →Why we start from originals
Between an author and a modern reader there are often decades of reprints, editors and translators. Each of them can change the text, and the reader usually has no way to notice.
Censored editions
Reprints drop chapters, prefaces and passages that became inconvenient. Usually nothing on the page tells you something is missing.
Distorted translations
A translator’s views, an editor’s caution or a publisher’s deadline shape the text. Terms get “corrected”, difficult passages get paraphrased or left out.
Originals out of reach
First editions survive as scans scattered across archives, often in Latin, Greek or old English, and few people can read them.
What we do
01
Find the original
We start from the earliest available edition or a faithful facsimile, not from a modern retelling.
02
Digitise it in full
Every page is recognised, checked against the scan and proofread. Nothing is cut or modernised; old spelling stays as printed.
03
Translate independently
The text is translated into English and Russian with AI, chapter by chapter, without paraphrase or cuts. Each book names the model that translated it.
04
Open everything
Read online or download EPUB and PDF in every language, together with the original scan — free, without registration.
An AI translation can be wrong. That is why the original text and the scan always sit next to it: compare, quote and check any line yourself.
